We offer a variety of services involving scattering ashes in Hawaii, all at very affordable prices. Every ash scattering is individual and separate.
If you are not able to come to Maui, we offer Unattended Ash Scattering Service at the beach or in the mountains. Shipping instructions are easy. We encourage you to send any photos or personal notes that could help us honor your loved one in a more personal way. Each ash scattering is personal and individual. We assure you that we will care for your loved one as if they were part of our own family. All unattended ash scatterings include fresh flowers, a nondenominational Christian prayer followed by a Hawaiian blessing. At your request, we can accommodate any specific religious or nonreligious preferences. After each service, the memorial package will be e-mailed or sent to you.
You can request a specific date or we will choose a lovely, sunny day. The service will be provided within 14 days of receipt of ashes. Your memorial package will be e-mailed within 5 days following the service. For an additional $20, your memorial package can be sent to you by USPS Priority Mail.
Unattended Mountain Ash Scattering Service $249
Our unattended mountain ash scattering is $249. We will choose a location high above the clouds on the pristine slopes of Haleakala Crater. The site will offer breathtaking views of Maui and her neighbor islands. After a Hawaiian blessing, a nondenominational Christian prayer and any personal notes, we will gently and respectfully scatter your loved one's ashes. Fresh flowers will be laid to honor and remember them. We will e-mail or send you the memorial package as described above.

Unattended Ocean Ash Scattering Service $249
Our unattended service involving spreading ashes at sea is $249 and is the most popular service we provide. The ocean ash scattering follows local Hawaiian tradition. We first choose a beautiful day and find a private place on a sandy beach. We will transfer the ashes into a traditional weaved basket. After a Hawaiian blessing, a nondenominational Christian prayer, and any personal notes, we will paddle the ashes out on a surfboard and respectfully scatter them in the clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Fresh flowers spread in the water will conclude the service. We will e-mail or send you the memorial package as described above.
Attended Ash Scattering
If you are visiting Maui, we provide a beautiful and respectful Attended Ash Scattering Service for you and your family or group. We would love to help you in honoring the passing of your loved one. Please contact us by e-mail or phone to discuss your options. We have met so many great people through the years and are confident you will be happy with our service. We act as your host of the ceremony with Hawaiian poems, prayers, conch blowing, flowers, beach decoration, chairs, refreshments, extra surfboards, etc. An assistant will take photos during the entire service so you can relax and be in the moment. The photos are great for memory sake and to share with others.

Please note we do not use boats. We find that using boats is too expensive and the ocean seas are too rough for many people. Ocean services at the beach are much more comfortable, affordable, and accessible.
The memorial package includes a scenic photo, a confirmation photo and memorial certificate. The scenic photo will be a picturesque photo of the beach and views. The confirmation photo is a simple photo of your package at the scattering site. The memorial certificate will state the date and location of the ash scattering. It will include the name of the area or beach with the GPS coordinates. The photos and memorial certificate will be helpful if you ever decide to visit Maui in the future.
